Nael Aqel

Hi, I’m Nael, a Data Analytics Engineer passionate about turning complex, messy data into clear and actionable insights that make a real impact.

I currently work at Opensooq, where I design and automate data pipelines, build validated analytics workflows, and ensure data quality across millions of daily events. Previously, I served as Head Teaching Assistant at Correlation One, leading a USAID-funded program that supported over 1,200 learners across the MENA region, an experience that strengthened my belief in using data and education to create meaningful change.

I hold the MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science (General Track) from MIT, and I believe that good data engineering isn’t just about efficiency, it’s about enabling better decisions, transparency, and understanding.
