Hi, I'm Nael, a Data Analytics Engineer passionate about turning complex, messy data into clear and actionable insights that make a real impact.

I currently work at Opensooq, where I design and automate data pipelines, build validated analytics workflows, and ensure data quality across millions of daily events. Previously, I served as Head Teaching Assistant at Correlation One, leading a USAID-funded program that supported over 1,200 learners across the MENA region, an experience that strengthened my belief in using data and education to create meaningful change.

Beyond my professional work, I build public data products. My latest project, PyPIMap is an interactive explorer for understanding the Python package ecosystem, powered by an automated data pipeline that continuously processes and updates package data.

I hold the MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science (General Track) from MIT, and the AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate certification, and I believe that good data engineering isn't just about efficiency, it's about enabling better decisions, transparency, and understanding.
